Avon Gate

Equitas opened its first home in May 2008, at 28 Avon Gate (within Christchurch’s residential area of Russley). Situated in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, this home has been specially designed to accommodate young people with disabilities. The Avon Gate home accommodates four residents and has adapted bathrooms and large living spaces, and borders the large Avonhead Park.

Wiltshire Mews

The second Equitas home in neighboring Avonhead was opened in response to demand in August 2009. This home, at 12 Wiltshire Mews, can accommodate up to eight residents, with a further room to accommodate people requiring respite care. This home has also been adapted to meet the needs of residents with disabilities and includes multiple large living areas, an internal lift, fire and sprinkler systems.

Withells Road

A steadily increasing demand for services resulted in Equitas purchasing a third home during 2014 at 246 Withells Road. This home has been renovated to meet the needs of residents with complex health and physical disabilities and has a sensory garden.
